Project Features
Supply of potable water to the city of Agra from the upper canal of the River Ganga through 136 km of pre-stressed 2,200 mm diameter concrete pipes with total head of 34 m and maximum capacity of 375 MLD; water pumps with two rising mains connected to two existing water treatment plants with capacities of 244 MLD and 230 MLD; construction of new water treatment plant to treat water from River Yamuna to augment the Ganga Water Supply; rehabilitation of 300 km existing and new water distribution network; capacity building and training.

Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Project

Project Features
Construction of water supply system including raw water transmission comprising 3 km open channel and 10 km pipeline, 500 MLD water purification plant with 3 pumping stations, and 115 km water distribution network; improvement of water supply including 300,000 service connections; construction of sewerage system including 114 km sewers, sewage treatment plants in 11 locations with total capacity of 403 MLD, 13 sewage pumping stations, and rehabilitation of 52 km existing sewers; capacity building for O&M; introduction of SCADA for water/sewage treatment plants and an online bill payment system for customers; provision of water supply and sanitation services to slum dwellers.

Hussain Sagar Lake and Catchment Area Improvement Project

Project Features
Construction of new 30 MLD advanced sewage treatment plant with nutrient removal and tertiary treatment facility to improve water quality and sanitary conditions of people living at the center of Hyderabad; upgrading of existing 20 MLD sewage treatment plant; development of infrastructure for recycling of tertiary-treated wastewater for non-potable applications; construction of 50 km trunk sewers; solid waste management; dredging and disposal of polluted lake sediments amounting to 1 million cu m.

Chennai (formerly Madras) Sewerage Renovation and Functional Improvement Project

 
Project Features
In-situ lining of 13 km cast iron water trunk mains up to 1,050 mm diameter; computer-controlled water apportioning at Kilpauk Waterworks for automatic flow distribution in 12 trunk mains and 27 feeder mains with diameters up to 900 mm; residual chlorine monitoring of public water supply distribution pipes covering 57 locations in Chennai; continuous measurement of velocities in 11 sewage force mains up to 1,200 mm diameter and transmission of data to an MIS at 11 receiving centers; conveyance of secondary biologically treated effluents by pumping over 30 km from two locations in Chennai, and providing tertiary treatment for the combined secondary biologically treated effluents followed by reverse osmosis to reclaim 100 MLD water for use in industries and landscape irrigation.

Goa Water Supply and Sewerage Project

Project Features
Rehabilitation and expansion of water supply by 100MLD capacity at Salaulim including Intake Structure and all related components; provision of wastewater facilities for the town of Mapusa, North Coastal Belt regions of Calangute and Baga; augmentation of the sewerage facilities in South Zone of Margao; and capacity building, institutional strengthening and training.

Guwahati Water Supply Project - Institutional and Capacity Development Consultancy

Project Features
Preparation and implementation of a plan for the institutional capacity development of the Guwahati Metropolitan Drinking Water and Sewerage Board in parallel with the physical implementation of the water supply components; Includes as well, the preparation of a social development plan, customer awareness program, service connection plan and the supervision of a service connection program; Institutional development activities include the development of both regulatory and operating functions of the Board.

Scope of Services
Conduct of basic survey, preparation of service connection plan, tender documents; assistance in evaluation of meter procurement, service connection work, coordination with the project management team and public awareness campaign; development of operations manuals for planning and monitoring, human resource development, quality assurance and environmental safety, management information system, procurement, accounting and budgeting, and process outsourcing; conduct of training.

130 MLD Sewerage Water Reuse Project for Water Supply to 3x660 MW Koradi TPS Expansion Project

Project Features
The project involves the following works: intake facilities; primary and secondary treatment plant (130 mld); tertiary treatment plant (130 mld); 16.2 km transmission line; and a treated sewage pumping station at Bhandewadi.

Four treatment technology options were investigated: Conventional AS, SBR, MBR, and MBBR.

Scope of Services
Services include detailed studies for establishing the most suitable advanced application base economical technology for sewage treatment; preparation of detailed estimate for tendering, bill of quantities, technical specifications, QAP (Quality Assurance Plan) for various items, general arrangement drawings/ curves etc. required for tender documents along with tender drawings for construction of the proposed sewage treatment plant.

Services also included the preparation of technical and detailed design basis reports. Design was carried out for all the technology options. Additional services included assistance to the client in the preparation of contract document, and review of shop drawings for general compliance with design requirements and contract documents.

The design, detailed estimation, bid document preparation, bidding process, bid evaluation for the project were completed and the construction contract has been awarded. Presently construction supervision is under progress.

Ganga Action Plan Project (Varanasi)

Project Features
In order to improve the water quality in River Ganga, and to improve public health conditions for inhabitants and pilgrims, the following sewerage works will be implemented in Varanasi City, State of Uttar Pradesh:

  1. Construction of Assi interceptor sewer; secondary sewers in Assi Nalla catchment area; Varuna right bank upstream and downstream interceptor sewers; extension of relieving trunk sewer; and rising mains for Phulwaria, Saraiya, and Chaukaghat sewage pump stations;
  2. Construction of Phulwaria, Chaukaghat, and Saria sewage pumping stations;
  3. Survey, investigation, soil testing, design, supply, construction, and commissioning of 140 MLD capacity sewage treatment plant (Dinapur) including other appurtenant works;
  4. Rehabilitation of old trunk sewer;
  5. Rehabilitation of 5 Ghats SPSs;
  6. Renovation/Rehab Works at Konia MPS, Bhagwanpur and Dinapur STPs;
  7. The project also includes a social improvement component and an institutional development program.

Scope of Services
Review of detailed designs prepared by contractors; support during tendering process for prequalification, evaluation, opening of bids, recommendation of work for contract awards; construction supervision; reporting environmental influences; disbursement documentation and forecast; review of current O&M procedures and advise improvements; assistance to develop MIS system and operation plan for sustainable O & M; preparation of comprehensive O & M manual for the sewerage facilities; assistance for implementing the project's social improvement component (i.e. Community Toilet Complexes, Dhobi Ghat etc.)

Augmentation of Water Supply and Sanitation for the State of Goa in the Republic of India

Project Features
The objectives of the Study are to formulate a Master Plan for augmentation of water supply and sanitation and pursue technology transfer to the counterpart personnel in the .

The design/study area covers six areas including Margao, Ponda, Mapusa, North Coastal Belt, South Coastal Belt, Panaji and surrounding area. The study area has a design year (2025) population of 372,000 and average flow of 80 mld.

Scope of Services
Services provided include: review of existing conditions of the sanitation/ sewerage systems; review of sector legislation, policies and regulations; formulation of a master plan for augmentation of sanitation/ sewerage systems; and selection of the priority project(s) for the feasibility study.
